In her teens, Padukone competed at the national badminton tournaments and international levels. She later quit the game to pursue a career as designer. Padukone's mother tongue is Konkani. She is Mangalorean from her birthplace. Padukone is a village located within the Kundapura Taluk of Karnataka's Udupi District. Prakash Padukone has retired as an internationally renowned badminton athlete Her mother, on the other hand, is also a travel consultant.
